Am I going to get my first period soon?
I am almost twelve years old and most of my friends have their periods. I am a diver and two of my best friends are too. They both have their periods and sometimes have to skip practices because they don't want to use tampons.
I have armpit hair, I have a lot of pubic hair, my boobs hurt, I have snot like discharge and I am staring to get curves.
Do you think I will get it soon? My mom got it when she was 12.
I know this sounds weird, but I feel left out. I would take the cramps and the mood swings if I just felt like I fit in. I am not a late bloomer, it's just the girls I hang out with are very early bloomers. One of my friends (the diver) has had her period since fourth grade!
My doctor said to watch out for it and I have but do you guys have any other advice?

First, I know you feel right now that it is a way to "fit in", enjoy not having to worry about this part of life while you can. By the time you are 30 you will be looking forward to menopause when it stops.. ha ha
Second, yes, most likely within the next year you will be starting. When you start, the best thing to do is cut back on caffeine, it will lessen the PMS symptoms. Also, it is best to start out with pads instead of tampons until you feel comfortable using one.
Know that this is just one step you will be taking into womanhood, and don’t rush it. Enjoy your youth and well,

You have all the early signs, so you’ll probably get it within 6 months.
Oh I remember always wanting my period. I am sure you will get it soon, becasues you have all the signs. Don’t feel left out because someday your going to relize that your period isn’t that exciting. I mean its exciting the first time maybe, but I hate it. Right before my first period I could like sense it was going to be there and I was right. So just be yourself and wait, it aint worth worring about, but your period will be on its way real soon. Maybe in a few months!
yeah i know you feel left out, but just wait it will come. enjoy life before all of the period stuff beucase once it starts happening it gets annoying, especially when your on dates with guys and have cramps…or when you leaking all over your jeans during your final exam… at first you’ll like the fact your growing up and stuff but eventually that will wear off and you’ll see the hassel. and yeah it sounds like you’ll start your period like any second with those "symptoms" but remember its not always about being older, enjoy the moments you have now. plus think about how awkward and embarassed that girl at the age of 9 in 4th grade felt about getting her period. most girls don’t even know what it is then. shes not all that lucky…you are.

i ent got boobs but i have got lumps there not big ones but there ok, just be calm get ready for it to come, ur nearly an adult huray!
